My July 4th was quiet. I spent it at "the mayor's house" with a bunch of hikers, going between watching fireworks from the back porch and watching the European version of "The Professional" in the living room.
What did you do?
Hopefully you didn't try to wipe away all traces of your colonial background...

Oh my god, yes! He was the person who interviewed me when I applied to freelance at the Prague Post. I worked directly under Cardais [one of my references for The Gazette] and the two of them got along famously. It's very sad to read that Jeff is dead. He must have been diagnosed very soon after I met him.
